Bilingual LCMHC-A
Ana Carrillo-Reyes
I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2019 and later returned for my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certification and specialization in play therapy. Additionally, I have experience conducting qualitative research with the University of New Mexico on property management and economic disadvantage, which uncovered my passion for increasing awareness to underserved/minority environments as targets of study and clinical practice assistance.

I am passionate about cultural education and the awareness of mental health within minority communities. As part of my therapeutic services, I specialize in working with children, adolescents and their families while incorporating therapeutic art and play into their healing journey. I believe that everyone should have a safe and healing space to work through life's challenges. I assist and support my clients through an Adlerian holistic approach and therefore value the impact that family and society have in how an individual navigates life. With that said, I enjoy bringing families closer together through Child-Parent- Relationship (CPR) Therapy (an 8-week course). I believe that my clients are the experts of their own lives and my role is to encourage their capacity to create meaning and connections their lives, and to achieve a quality of life that they deserve.
